About Me & This Blog

I have loved color and intricate designs from the time I was a little girl - spring flowers, green grass and the sparkling water of a clear brook in summer, the golden sunshine of fall on leaves and cool shades of sunset in winter against a cloudy sky. It only stands to reason I am attracted to the Art Nouveau era and do my best to curate and make pieces inspired by nature for Vintage Cravens.

Who Are You, Anyway?

My given name is Christine, but friends and family call me Chris. My husband, Mark, and I are very involved with our local church and small community in Lebanon, OH, and we love to camp in our vintage Airstream. One of our favorite ministries to support is Hands Against Hunger, a Cincinnati-based organization dedicated to feeding children around the globe (read more here). I've worked in Information Systems for many years at Fortune 500 companies on projects ranging from banking to eCommerce systems at a major grocery retailer. I run Vintage Cravens because I enjoy sharing beautiful jewelry with people around the globe and donate a portion of every sale to Hands Against Hunger. I love working with my mind and hands and look forward to sharing my thoughts on vintage and antique jewelry, color inspiration, outfits and my journey as a jewelry designer with you.

One more thing about us: we have an extremely happy Australian Shepherd, Millie. You'll see her sprinkled through my posts, too, just to share a smile!

Cheers!

Chris
