WTW: An Assemblage Necklace

It's Work Table Wednesday and I'm really excited about this soon-to-be necklace. It's my very first foray into 'assemblage jewelry' using bits and pieces from my stash and new components. The focal point is a beautiful Czechoslovakian glass brooch which has fallen into disrepair with a broken pin back and finish loss of the original gilt. I decided rather than restoring the piece, it would be perfect as a central component to a necklace. I've also got a few mis-matched earrings, some antique buttons and beautiful Aurora Borealis rhinestones I harvested from a faulty mid-century necklace. As the piece comes together, I'll also add a vintage chain and a beautiful new US-made toggle clasp. To ensure this piece will stay together, I'm using a top of the line industrial adhesive. Stay tuned for Finished Up Friday...
