Chasing Rainbows in Winter
It's a dreary day in Lebanon, so here is a beautiful photograph to brighten up the day. I took this a few years ago at Franklin Conservatory in Columbus, OH. It is a Dale Chihuly glass installation serving as a roof for the 'cave' inside the Conservatory's tropical plant wing. Time for another quick road trip...
Refresh & Renew! Louis Comfort Tiffany Does Pantone 2016
One of the things I look forward to each year is the unveiling of Pantone's color report and their color of the year. While 2015 was focused on saucy Marsala, which I personally like paired with spicy compliments, I am pleasantly surprised by this year's soft colors: 'Rose Quartz' and 'Serenity.' I think of soft sunsets, cool breezes and gentle waves on a lake with these two colors. While each stands on their own or blended together as Pantone suggests in their cover statement, they are spectacular when tied together with other found-in-nature colors. (see Pantone's full write up and color pairings here) |
