I am intrigued by this with antique tintype of a lovely lady in a floral dress. I don't know who she was in real life, but I like to think she was well loved. Frames like this were very popular in the mid-late 1800s. They typically had two sides and would clasp shut to protect precious images of loved ones. This particular piece, however, is missing one of its sides, so at first I thought I would incorporate it into a necklace. After playing around with the bits and pieces I had on hand, I decided to make something inspired by her instead. Stay tuned for my final design...
